SURROUNDED BY NATURE

Protected and recognised by UNESCO

and the International Dark-Sky Association

The Mas is located at the southern tip of the Cévennes : it enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with deep blue skies, hot summers yet cool nights (we are at an altitude of 380m, 1250 ft above sea level), while the winters are typically sunny and mild, meaning that it is entirely possible to eat out on the terrace at Christmas.

The cottage is surrounded by a rich, wild and expansive countryside : valleys densely covered with sweet chestnut trees and green oaks, the wide expanses of high moorland plateau, and some exceptional sites to discover…

We are in the Cévennes National Park, twice recognised by UNESCO, since 1985 named as a Biosphere Reserve, and since 2011 named the Causses and Cévennes, Mediterranean agro-pastoral Cultural Landscape.

And most recently, the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA) designated the Cévennes National Park as one of just 130 Dark Sky Places in the world, thus becoming the largest IDSP Place in Europe.
